Viognier Barrique by Château Burgozone is a premium expression of this aromatic white variety, grown on the estate’s own vineyards along the Danube River in Oryahovo, Bulgaria. Produced with a very low yield of 18-20 hl/ha, and hand-harvested with rigorous sorting, this wine reflects the winery’s dedication to quality and terroir expression.

Fermented with sur lies aging for 1 month and 30% matured in Bulgarian oak barrels for 6 months, this wine offers a pale-golden color and a bouquet that is both floral and layered. The aroma combines classic Viognier notes of peach, apricot, and honeysuckle, enriched with butterscotch, hazelnuts, and coconut from oak influence.

On the palate, it is harmonious, full-bodied, and elegant, with flavors of peach, apple, and melon, followed by complex hints of biscuit, honey, and vanilla. Its long and fresh aftertaste makes it ideal for pairing with seafood, poultry, Asian dishes, and fine cheeses.
