Iris Creation Red from Château Burgozone is a refined and complex red blend that showcases the richness and potential of Bulgaria’s Danube Plain (PGI) region. Crafted from a unique combination of Cabernet Sauvignon, Marselan, Syrah, and the rare Egiodola, the wine reflects the estate’s philosophy of precision, elegance, and terroir expression.

The grapes are hand-picked and carefully sorted, with yields limited to 15-18 hl/ha to ensure depth of character and intensity. After maceration and temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks, the wine undergoes 12-15 months of ageing in French oak barrels, which enhances its texture and complexity.

In the glass, the wine presents a deep ruby color with brick nuances and a violet shimmer. The aromatic profile is layered and expressive, combining black fruits such as black currant and blackberry, with red fruits like cranberry, and herbal notes of black currant leaf. Subtle sweet spicescinnamon and cloves – are delicately balanced by a touch of vanilla.

On the palate, Iris Creation Red delivers a harmonic, medium-to-full-bodied structure with impressive volume and length. Juicy flavors of blackberry, blueberry, and cherry dominate, followed by a long, elegant finish with hints of caramel, vanilla, smoke, and tobacco.

This wine is an ideal pairing for roasted meats, duck, porcini mushrooms, and aged cheeses, and also boasts excellent aging potential.
